Centrally located on the Sacramento River in Northern California, Red Bluff is just 120 miles north of Sacramento, and 190 miles west of Reno/Tahoe. Red Bluff is the gateway to the famous Lassen Volcanic National Park, one of the few active volcanoes on the United States mainland. Warm summers, mild winters, and 25 inches of annual rainfall make smog-free Red Bluff a desirable place to live.

St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, a Level III trauma center, provides high-quality, personal care (RedBluff.Mercy.org). The emergency department is approved for trauma services, and offers 24-hour emergency care. In addition, air ambulance service is available for airlifting patients either to St. Elizabeth or to more specialized medical facilities when necessary.
