Board-certified and board-eligible emergency specialists staff the emergency department at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto 24 hours a day. Nursing staff is trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Curriculum. This Level II trauma center has 24-hour coverage by general, specialty, and trauma surgeons, providing the highest quality care to the critically injured patient from the time of entry into the hospital to the time of discharge or transfer. All trauma patients have access to specialists, both surgical and non-surgical, to facilitate their rapid and full recovery.
