The hospital is in Elgin, approximately 40 miles northwest of Chicago on the Fox River. The area is known for its historic architecture and landmarks from the Victorian era including examples of homes in the Queen Anne style. From its four historic districts to its many neighborhoods with comfortable single-family homes or townhomes, Elgin offers a variety of residential neighborhoods. Advocate Sherman Outpatient Center - South Elgin, is a walk-in clinic designed to treat minor (non-life threatening) injuries and illnesses (http://www.shermanhealth.com). Sherman Family HealthCare is open seven days a week. On site lab and x-ray are available. The clinic is affiliated with the newly opened, state-of the-art Sherman Hospital.
