[Emeryville, CA] - June 8, 2026 - Vituity today announced that Chief Executive Officer Dr. Imamu Tomlinson has been named to Modern Healthcare's prestigious “50 Most Influential Clinical Executives” list for 2026 for his role in driving record organizational growth, expanding innovation and service lines, advancing behavioral health and AI-enabled care solutions, and improving community health equity.
This annual recognition honors healthcare leaders who are shaping the industry's future through clinical expertise, community service, innovation, organizational leadership, and transformative impact.
A board-certified emergency physician, Dr. Tomlinson has continued to practice clinically for more than two decades while leading Vituity’s strategic growth and innovation efforts. Under his leadership, Vituity experienced tremendous growth in 2025, maintaining a healthy operating margin while expanding its national footprint by adding 129 new practice locations and 1.7 million additional patient encounters. Now serving more than 13 million patients annually, Vituity is a leader in care transformation and delivery.
“Healthcare transformation requires leaders who understand both the realities of patient care and the broader systems shaping the future of medicine,” said Dr. Tomlinson. “This recognition reflects not just me, but the extraordinary physicians, clinicians, and teams across Vituity who are committed to advancing care delivery, supporting communities, and reimagining what healthcare can become.”
Modern Healthcare also recognized Dr. Tomlinson’s role in advancing Vituity’s long-term innovation strategy, including expanding strategic health system partnerships, launching new service lines, and accelerating diversification initiatives across healthcare technology and AI-enabled solutions. In 2025, Vituity expanded its radiology capabilities through its affiliation with Focus Medical Imaging and continued growth across multiple innovation-driven business lines.
In addition to his executive leadership, Dr. Tomlinson remains deeply committed to community health and equity through the Vituity Cares Foundation, where he serves as founder and board chair. In 2025, Vituity Cares’ street medicine clinics provided more than $360,000 in free healthcare services, food, and supplies to approximately 20,000 individuals nationwide. The organization also expanded its Uplift mentoring and educational assistance program, supporting first-generation students pursuing healthcare careers and providing 8,000 low-income students with new backpacks loaded with school supplies, essential clothing, hygiene items, and grocery gift cards.
Dr. Tomlinson has also championed innovation in behavioral health and access to emergency care, including support for Vituity’s inaugural EmPATH Summit, which focused on advancing emergency psychiatric care models nationwide.
